What makes us different

Your say in how we care

We’re quite unique in that you and your family can have a direct say in how we work and care for our clients through our Care Standards Committee. From menu changes to activities, we work together to make sure that we continue to provide only the very highest standards.

Flexible caring support

At Torcare we don’t just offer permanent residential care. We’re able to help care for those of you who have a short-term need for some additional help and support, perhaps after an illness or whilst your family or main carer is on holiday. We also offer day and night care, home care, meals-on-wheels and holiday care. Find out more about our range of care services and residential care homes in Torpoint, near Plymouth.

Seamless caring

As a care provider, we invest heavily in our staff training and development to encourage them to progress their career through our company. This means that you’ll see the same faces at our care homes in Torpoint and can develop lasting relationships with our team of dedicated carers who are looking after you or your family.

Close support

Throughout our care homes in Torpoint, we pride ourselves on our high staff-to-resident ratio which allows us to deliver the highest quality care. With a team of 130 people, there’s always someone on hand to have quality one-to-one time with, whether it’s simply having a chat or helping you with your daily routine.

A home from home

We work hard to create a homely feel for everyone. We divide each of our homes into smaller units to maintain a close-knit community of staff and residents.

To support our residents’ independence, we have no fixed routines to abide by – each resident is free to get up or go to bed at a time that suits them, eat in the dining room or choose to take their meals in their rooms. We plan daily activities and entertainment, although there’s no obligation to join in.

Visiting your relative

Family and friends are always welcome. We just ask that families avoid visiting during meal times, where possible.

Resident Experiences

There are only so many words that we can use to describe the level of care and support that can be expected from our team at Torcare. In reality, nothing explains our service better than hearing directly from some of those who’ve experienced our care first-hand.
