Our staff

All of our staff are dedicated to providing an outstanding level of care and support to each and every person that comes into contact with Torcare. Find out a little bit more about the faces you’ll see when you come to visit us.

Zoe Palmer (Senior Support Worker) – Zoe has worked in care for 25 years, gaining experience in all aspects, previously working within another residential home and also out in the community. Zoe has been at Porte Rouge for 5 years.

“Porte Rouge is a great place to work, with two days never being the same. Being in a senior position it’s great to be able to transfer my knowledge and skills over to the next generation of carers. At Porte Rouge there is a real sense of family atmosphere. After 25 years I still enjoy the work I do, it’s lovely knowing we have helped to make a person’s day brighter.”

Victoria Waterfield (Support Worker) – Victoria, 18, is a new member of staff at Porte Rouge who began as a volunteer whilst studying at sixth form.

“I became a volunteer at Porte Rouge as I wanted to gain experience in a caring profession. The more I volunteered, the more I realised I wanted a job at Porte Rouge. After I finished sixth form I applied for a job straight away and luckily was offered a position.”

“I have now been here for two months and can say I am really enjoying learning new skills. The training has been excellent. Both residents and staff have welcomed me with open arms. From working here at Porte Rouge I want to gain more knowledge and experience in the caring profession and learn more about working with all different needs.”

Resident Experiences

There are only so many words that we can use to describe the level of care and support that can be expected from our team at Torcare. In reality, nothing explains our service better than hearing directly from some of those who’ve experienced our care first-hand.
